Hotline Review
Mark Fisher, Hotline (June 2009)
'Hellers Kitchen can be all things to all people, and is as formal or casual as your mood.
Settling down for a smart Saturday evening feast, you'll find an eclectic mix of diners, from big party groups to couples to solo diners reading newspapers. The menu is accordingly flexible. There are pizzas (including a haggis flavour), pasta, fish specials and porridge, eggs Benedict, sandwiches, steaks, soup and fry-ups. Our highlights were deceptively filling scallops offset with with slices of chorizo, a tangy watermelon and goats cheese salad, and lemon-topped cheesecake framed by a thin circle of rhubarb.
Bright and modern, at Hellers Kitchen you can be who you want to be.'
